Eason Chan declined to judge "Voice of Stars"

With the premiere of TVB's "Voice of Stars", a lot of viewers are curious as to why big Hong Kong stars such as Joey Yung and Eason Chan were not involved as judges.

According to 21CN website, sources claimed that Eason was indeed invited to become a judge on the show, but had to decline to prepare for his upcoming concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum.

However, it was also rumoured that due to TVB's strict programme guidelines, the station only offered Eason HKD 500 per episode for travelling expenses, an amount far off than his "The X-Factor" appearance.

For "The X-Factor", celebrity judges like Lo Ta Yu and Zhang Ziyi were paid at least RMB 60,000 per episode, which means the singer was also paid heftily for his appearance on the show.

With stars such as Na Ying, Harlem Yu and A-Mei being paid millions to appear in their programme, Eason too demanded more than what TVB was willing to give.
